FQPIMA group is a group formed by one Professor, four Lectures, two assistant professors, and several PH D students (4-8 depending on the period).

We are a group of Chemical Reaction Engineering, with a wide experience on chemical, enzymatic and microbial processes development. We have had financial support since 1984, with more than 40 different projects, public and form private enterprises.

We have published more than 200 papers, more than 180 papers in journals of high impact index, and we have made more than 200 communications to national and international congresses, symposia, workshops, etc.

We collaborate with other groups of CSIC and INIA (Research Institutions).

Nowadays FQPIMA group is working on subject related to:

-Enzymatic processes: Operational condition optimization. Kinetic modeling of enzymatic reactions.
-Microbial processes: Development and scale-up. Operational condition optimization. Kinetic modelling. Hydrodynamic and oxidative stress.
-Integrated biorefinery. Valorization of several raw materials: lignocellulosic wastes, glycerol, and production of several added-value products.
-Production of isobutanol, succinic acid, fumaric acid, bacterial nanocelulose.
-Mass transfer and kinetic modeling of bioprocesses. Hydrolysis of lignocellulosic materials. Oxygen transport and uptake rates

We have three projects with financial support on these subjects.
