Research lines / projects proposed
The purpose of the research would be to analyse the impact of the the factual changes in the international society in the 21st century. The use of new technologies, specifically in warfare and military affairs, or the lack of protection of vulnerables groups (women, migrants, children) lead to questions on the efficency of the existing rules of International Law and accountability issues. Other topics such as the state-centered rules on international responsibility being challenged by the use of artificial intelligence can also be addressed.
