Brief description of the Research Team / Research Group / Department
The studies conducted at the group are divided into two main areas: basic research, focused on magnetic materials, with the aim of exploring the most advanced developments at any given time; and applied research, with a special emphasis on biomedical applications and those fields already well-established within the scientific community. Additionally, particular attention is given to all aspects related to electromagnetic fields, including their generation, control, and interaction.
Research lines / projects proposed
The project addresses the urgent need for more environmentally friendly plastic waste treatment, driven by the EU's commitment to reducing plastic pollution. It focuses on developing innovative, energy-efficient technologies to transform plastic waste into valuable products. By using magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) under radiofrequency fields and hierarchical zeolites (Z-MNPs) as support, the project optimizes inductive heating and enhances the efficiency of plastic cracking. This method reduces energy costs, minimizes carbon footprint, and integrates advanced materials science, nanotechnology, magnetism, and chemical engineering. The project aims to boost the EU’s circular plastic economy, export the technology, and strengthen research collaborations.

Application requirements

Professional Experience & Documents
Candidats should submit to the Contact Person (see above) a motivation letter, a recent Curriculum Vitae and two reference letters. The motivation letter should list the names of the researchers who give the reference letters.
You can attach the 'One Page Proposal' to enhance the attractiveness of your application. Supervisors usually appreciate it. Please take into account your background and the information provided in Research Team & Research Topic section to fill in it.
