Brief description of the Research Team / Research Group / Department
Research Group "Normativity, Emotions, Discourse and Society" (GINEDIS) has an interdisciplinary scope that concentrates the efforts of philosophers, theorists of literature and classical and German philologists. The Group aims at displaying a cultural history of concepts as vulnerability, poverty, belonging and exclusion, having into account a gender perspective, with the goal of working out a critical genealogy of key social pathologies of XXth and XXIst Century. The members of the Group are being funded by the MICINN of the Government of Spain and have led or taken part in projects funded by the DFG of the Government of Germany and the FCT of the Government of Portugal. Some members have experience as coordinator of ITN and RISE MSCA networks. It has also records of receiving PhD and post-doc scholars in research stay at the Complutense. Pablo López Álvarez is the co-director of the research group GINEDIS, whose principal director is Professor Nuria Sánchez Madrid.
