The project aims to name a series of women who revealed themselves to be powerful, influential, committed and useful in 18th Century Spanish society by developing behaviors on the political, economic, social and cultural levels, that gave rise to unconventional female profiles in opposition to the current model imposed by the patriarchal ideology. our purpose is, on the one hand, to restore women in history by analyzing the significance of their initiatives in order to be able to interpret the historical phenomenon and the evolution of humanity in its complexity; on the other, to contrast and correct the existing opposition between the historical devaluation of the female experience with the real significance of the acts and behaviors of women in the historical context in which they lived.
The chronology refers to the "long 18th Century". The decline and subsequent disappearance of the Old Regime was accompanied by ruptures during a long historical period of transition, fundamental to understand the dialectic between Absolutism and Liberalism until the triumph and consolidation of Liberal society.
The spatial framework, varied and multipurpose, come up with the Court as the main stage, the main point of social practices and cultural and political habits that will be disseminated and mimicked by social groups established in other parts of the national geography. Based on
the Madrid model, in some provincial cities (Barcelona, Cádiz, Valencia, Alicante and Zaragoza) we find women who are going to carry out similar tasks and functions, creating a different model, also acting as an engine of progress in their respective territories and places of development.

Research lines / projects proposed
The study is based on three axes, which correspond to three lines of research: Women¿s History, the Social History of Power and the History of everyday life.
1. The Women´s History that we have been making today lays its foundations on a process of more than half a century of conceptual and methodological construction, where the contributions made in a pioneering way from the feminist movement deserve to be highlighted.
2. The Social History of Power offers new proposals for historical analysis through a renewed conceptual and methodological apparatus, while allowing an expansion and diversification of the sources on which it is based, notably promoting studies around the various mechanisms of domination in the societies of the Old Regime.
3. The History of everyday life. Although for a time Historical discipline was reluctant to consider everyday life as an object of study, currently in a context of changing perspectives and thematic diversification its study has been promoted as one of the most suggestive and stimulating approaches of recent decades. It constitutes an autonomous historiographic field with its own epistemology, specific analytical categories and an adequate methodology, so that the interest in the world of the everyday experiences of the different social groups are the object of historical analysis.
