Brief description of the Research Team / Research Group / Department
The Project name is Plainsong during the Polyphony Era: continuity, transformations, interactions and transferences between both repertories 1250-1550". Our primary purpose is the location and recovery of plainsong musical sources and cataloging, preservation, digitization, restoration and study of this repertoire. Our specific objectives are:
1. Location, recovery and cataloging of plainsong musical sources and contemporary polyphonic works in Spain.
2. Scan music sources in high quality and virtual restoration of images that may need it (with DIAMM, Oxford).
3. Continue and complete ongoing studies on sources. These studies are radically changed with high resolution images and virtual restorations.
4. Disseminate and promote the work at international conferences, indexed publications, conferences, recordings and concerts, plus an web with open access to a repository of scientific texts, databases and images."
